Musing While Doing Dishes

It is the third of November, and as seems to be a Facebook tradition, I see different people doing different things to show their thankfulness as Thanksgiving approaches.  I don't participate in those, mostly because I don't have the memory to remember if I posted today or not, and trying to make sure I do it, so the whole world knows I am thankful this one month out of the year, is more stress than I choose to take on at this moment in my life. :)

But tonight as I was doing the dishes, I was thinking of the one my Pastor's Wife is doing.  It appears that each day is a new letter of the alphabet about things one is thankful for.  Looks like a challenge, for some letters. But as that came to mind, I thought "I wonder if I can come up with something that reflects God for each letter.  And I did it! But I was washing dishes, and didn't write them down right away. :)  (remember I have a memory problem), But I am going to try again here, just because it was kind of fun to do, and it is always a great time to glorify God.  Here Goes:

A- Almighty, Always Available, Amazing
B- Benevolent
C- Caring, Concerned, Creater
D-Dependable, Divine
E- Engaged in our lives, Encouraging
F- Father
G- Good, Generous
H- Healer, Holy, Hears me, Here with me
I- Interested, Involved, Inviting
J- Just, Joyful over His children, Jealous
K- Kind
L- Loves
M- Master, Maker
N- Near
O- Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Over all
P- Perfect, giver of Peace that Passes understanding, Provider, Precious
Q- Quiets my soul, and Quickens us
R- Restores, gives Rest
S- Saves, Seals, Sees, Spontaneous
T- Teaches, Takes my hand, Tolerant
U- Understands, Upholds
V- Victorious
W- Willing that none should parish, Wise, With me
X- (my cheat) eXalted, (my 2nd choice) X-ray vision to the intent of my heart
Y- Yearns to know me and to have me know Him
Z- (My first thought) Zebras (probably because Z is always for Zebra, lol), But my real answer:
     Zealous

Was fun because of how fast and easy these came to mind.  He is worthy to be praised, and he has given us plenty of words to praise Him with.  I bet you can come up with others besides mine, but I am not going to challenge you...

We need remember to be thankful all year, not only at Thanksgiving.  I enjoy reading all the thankful posts this time of year, but the spontaneous ones throughout the year, as He is working in our lives are my favorite.
